último que he descubierto de Chanel, un nuevo microsite llamado “Inside Chanel”
en el que la maison nos va contando de forma interactiva y a través de
cortometrajes los pilares de la leyenda Coco Chanel.

El site contiene varios capítulos, pero el que más me ha gustado y quiero compartir con vosotros es el de “Mademoiselle Chanel and the Diamond” dos de mis cosas preferidas. Este cortometraje se ha creado con motivo la celebración del 80 aniversario de su primera colección de alta joyería “Bijoux et Diamants” creada en 1932.
The site contains different chapters. The
one I liked the most, and I would love to share with you is the one called: “Mademoiselle
Chanel and the diamond”, which are two of my favourite things. This short movie
was created to mark the celebration of the 80th anniversary of its
first luxury jewellery collection “Bijoux et Diamants” – created in 1932.

De esta forma nace una colección efímera, ya que esta fue su
primera y última colección de alta joyería. Esta colección se centra en 5
símbolos (ya que el 5 era su número y la clave de su estilo): La estrella, el
sol, el lazo, los flecos y las plumas. A estos símbolos se han añadido otros
como la camelia, la perla o el león pero todas las siguientes colecciones han
sido inspiradas en la de 1932.
This is how this ephemera collection was born, which were her first and last collection of high jewelry. This collection focus on five symbols (because this was her number and the key of her style): the star, the sun, the bond, fringes and feathers. Some other symbols were added to the collection, such as: camellia, pearl and lion. Later collections were all inspired by this one from 1932.

Lo que me parece más curioso de esta colección es que las joyas no se exhiben en su boutique sino en su propia casa, expuestas en maniquíes de cera. Para mi esta gran mujer era una visionaria.
What I find
most curious about this collection is that the jewelries were not exhibited in
her boutique, but at home on wax dummies.
To me, this great lady was a visionary.
