NYFW Spring Summer 2017- Street Style Inspiration

Hola a todos y feliz entrada en el Otoño! Hoy os traigo un post inspiración fashion con todas las tendencias vistas en el Street Style de la semana de la moda de NY.

Hi everyone and welcome to Fall! Today’s fashion inspirational post is about all the trends we have seen in the street during the NY fashion Week.

Aunque aún no hemos empezado a ver las hojas teñirse de marrón, ni las ofertas de pumpkin spice latte de Starbucks, sí que hemos notado el cambio de estación que se traduce a efectos prácticos en: guarda toda (o parte de) tu ropa en el armario y prepárate para el temido ENTRETIEMPO.  Con este post quiero echar una mano a todas las que como yo nunca saben qué ponerse en esta época del año.

Normalmente suelo centrarme en hablar de las tendencias de pasarela, pero cada vez me convenzo más que lo que realmente nos ponemos es lo que vemos en la calle, a las bloggers y a las influencers e it girls del momento. Mientras preparaba el post y elegía las los estilos para compartir no podía dejar de pensar en mis clases de historia de la moda, cuando hablábamos de la revolución denim y sport llevada a cabo por Ralph Lauren en los 90. Esta temporada vamos a presenciar una vuelta total al estilo noventero, reintepretado sí, pero muy parecido.  

Desde mi punto de vista, estas son las nuevas tendencias y las que ya habíamos visto pero que han decidido quedase una temporada más:

• - Tejidos metalizados.
• -  Denim Everywhere: Camisetas, faldas, minifaldas reinterpretadas con adornos, bordados, parches.. 
• -  Sandalias de pelo, puestas de moda de nuevo por Miu Miu y Rihanna con su reinterpretación de las Puma de siempre.
• -  Chockers y cuellos halter, mi tendencia favorita!
• -  Camiseta blanca básica. Ésta siempre ha tenido un protagonismo en nuestro armario, pero ahora la vemos debajo de vestidos y tops de tirantes.
• -  Nudos que se mantienen otra temporada más. 
• -  Pijama style que ya vimos la temporada pasada, se mantiene. 
• -  Tendencia militar, visto en la calle y en la pasarela.
• -  Mochilas, olvidémonos de los bolsos ahora tenemos que llevar mochilas!
• -  Abrigos cerrados con cinturón.
• -  Minivestidos de terciopelo, terciopelo en general.
• -  Románticas camisas y camisetas de rayas de volantes.
• -  Off shoulder que ya hemos visto este verano hasta la saciedad.
• -  Bomber decoradas con bordados de todo tipo.  
• -  Bailarinas de Miu Miu atadas, preciosas y perfectas para cualquier look. 

Por último, os dejo con imágenes de mis dos desfiles favoritos: el de Marc Jacobs y el Pier de GigixTommy de Tommy Hilfiger. Me encantan todas la propuestas de Jacobs, el colorido y sobre todo los complementos! Un 10 Marc. Respecto a la nueva colección de Tommy no solo me parece un gran acierto diseñar con Gigi, sino que todo el que lo ha deseado ha podido comprar la colección al día siguiente de su presentación.

Even tough we haven’t yet seen the leaves turn brown and neither spotted the pumpkin spice latte offers in Starbucks, we have all felt the weather change. This actually means: put away all (or part) of your summer clothes and say hello to the scary MID-SEASON WEATHER. This post is meant to help and inspire those that never know what to wear in this moment of the year, when is not too cold and not too hot.

Usually I like to focus on the trends that we can spot on the catwalk and designer proposals. Though lately I have noticed that what we actually wear is what we see on the street and what bloggers, ‘it girls’ and influencers wear. While I was preparing this post and choosing my fav styles to share, I couldn’t stop thinking about my history of fashion classes. The sport and denim revolution brought by Ralph Lauren back in the 90s. Yes, it seems like for this season the nineties style is totally back in. It’s a bit different, but with the same roots.

From my point of view, these are the new trends along with the ones that we have been seeing which will be staying for the coming season:

• -       Metallic clothes.
• -       Denim everywhere: tops, shirts, skirts and miniskirts adorned with embroideries and patches.
• -       Fur slides and slippers, re-launched by Rihanna and Miu Miu.
• -       Chockers and halter necks, my favorite one!
• -       The basic white tee. These tees have always had their place in our closet but right now we see it under lace cami dresses.
• -       Knots that stay another season.
• -       The super comfy pajama style, seen since last season.
• -       Military trend, this season we are going to see plenty of green.
• -       Bye purses, hello backpacks!
• -       Velvet mini-dresses
• -       Romantic stripped ruffled shirts.
• -       More off shoulder tops and dresses.
• -       Embroidered bomber jackets.
• -       Miu Miu lace-up gorgeous ballerinas.

Finally, my two favorite collections of this Spring/Summer 17: Marc Jacobs and GigiXTommy of Tommy Hilfiger. I love all Jacobs styles, the colors, the combination of maxi garments and mini-dresses but especially the complements! Bravo Marc. About the new Tommy Hilfiger collection, I believe that partnering with Gigi Hadid means success by itself, but the best thing was that everybody was able to purchase the entire collection online right after the show.
